Tenure– The appointment for the post of Marketing Specialist or Economist is for 1 year and for Archivist and Administrative Officer is for 2 years.

Age Limit for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, the upper age limit is given below-

For Marketing Specialist or Economist-

• The upper age limit is 40 years. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.

For Administrative Officer-

• The upper age limit is 30 years.
• The upper age limit is 35 years for SC/S.
• The upper age limit is 40 years for PwBD
• The upper age limit is 33 years for OBC
  

For Archivist (Oriental Records)- 

• The upper age limit is 35 years for Scheduled Caste candidates as of the closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them.

Salary for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, candidates will be given a monthly remuneration as given below-

For Marketing Specialist or Economist- Candidates will be given in Level 11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700) of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.

For Administrative Officer- Candidates will be given in Level – 7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.

For Archivist (Oriental Records)- Candidates will be given in Level 8 (Rs.47600-151100) of the pay matrix of the 7th CPC.

Qualification for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates must have the given below qualification to apply for UPSC recruitment 2023-

For Marketing Specialist or Economist- Master of Business Administration (Marketing) or Master of Business Economics from a recognized University or Institution. Note– Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Experience– Five years of experience in the field of marketing of agriculture or horticulture produce or supply chain management in the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations or Universities or Recognised Research Institutions.

For Administrative Officer- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.

Experience- Two years experience in Administration, Accounts and Establishment, Legal or Vigilance matters in Central or State or Union Territory Government or Government Autonomous or Statutory Organisation Central/State Public Sector Corporation/University.

Desirable–

• Degree in Law or Personnel Management from a recognized University.
• Knowledge of Govt. Rules and Regulations relating to Administration, Accounts and Establishment.

For Archivist (Oriental Records)- 

1- Master’s Degree in History with a paper in Indian History from a recognized University or Institute.

2- Studied Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic language as a subject or paper at degree level or one-year advanced.

3- Diploma course in the Persian language from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience- Two years experience in an archives office or Government Record Office in a supervisory capacity or research or teaching in the relevant subject at the undergraduate level in a recognized institution or University.

Desirable–

• Diploma in Archives and Records Management or Diploma or Certificate in Archival Science.
• Diploma or Certificate in Computer Application or Information Technology.
• Certificate of proficiency from a recognized University or Institute in foreign or other Indian classical languages like Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, Malayam, and Odiya besides the candidates’ mother tongue.

As per the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, interested candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected. Candidates have to pay Rs. 25 as an application fee. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community.
