UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting candidates to fill up the post of Consultant on a Contract Basis in the Office of UPSC as Private Secretary(PS)/ Personal Assistant(PA). As mentioned in the Official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, a fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, with NPS, an amount equivalent to 30% of the last basic pay as drawn at the time of retirement shall be deducted from the last basic pay and the resultant amount shall be the fixed monthly amount as remuneration.

The maximum age limit for the assigned position should not exceed 62 years as stated in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023. Based on the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, there are 06 vacancies for this Recruitment. As per the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the applicant will be appointed for a tenure period of 01 year, which may be extended based on their performance. In accordance with the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, consultants will be selected from shortlisted candidates. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is seeking candidates to fill the contract position of Private Secretary (PS)/Personal Assistant (PA) in the UPSC Office for the role of Consultant. According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 06 openings for this recruitment.

Tenure for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official UPSC Recruitment 2023 notification, the selected candidate will be employed for a term of one year, with the possibility of extension or reduction based on the consultant’s performance or the office’s functional needs, subject to the approve.

Eligibility for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the UPSC Recruitment 2023 must have the following eligibility.

  • Candidate should have retired from the rank of Private Secretary or Personal Assistant or equivalent i.e. from the post in Level-07 to Level-10 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (pre-revised GP-4600/- GP-4800/- and GP-5400/- in PB- 2/PB-3) from any Ministry/Department of Govt. of India.
  • Applicant should be proficient in English typing as the assignment involves lengthy typing work.
  • Aspirants should have a working knowledge of computer applications in the day-to-day functioning of the office.

Age Limit for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official UPSC Recruitment 2023 notification, the maximum age limit for the designated position should not be greater than 62 years old.

Remuneration for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The fixed monthly amount is determined by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement and, for those who have retired as stated in the official UPSC Recruitment 2023 notification. With NPS, by deducting from the last basic pay an amount equal to 30% of the pay drawn at the time of retirement, will be admissible. The resulting amount will be the fixed monthly amount as compensation. Throughout the length of the contract, the amount of compensation as fixed will not alter, and there won’t be any annual increases or percentage increases. There shall be no residential accommodations or DA/HRA.

Selection Procedure for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The involvement will only be contractual basis. Applications in response to this advertisement will be shortlisted based on the candidates’ qualifications and experience. Consultants will be chosen from the individuals on the shortlist in line with the official UPSC Recruitment 2023 notification.
