Use of Mobile Telephone in Polling Booth is not Allowed during ICAI Election: ICAI

According to the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, polling will take place on the 3rd and 4th of December 2021 in chosen cities and on the 4th of December 2021 in other cities. Everyone should be ecstatic to exercise their right to vote in the election of the Institute’s leadership, which will not only handle the Institute’s operations but also advance the profession to new heights.

ICAI requests that everyone continue to observe the COVID-19 procedure, particularly in terms of maintaining appropriate social distance standards in and around polling booths, as well as wearing a face mask and sanitising their hands. Members of ICAI are arranging for hand sanitizer bottles to be placed in the polling booth.

Please be aware that using a cell phone or other communication device within the polling booth, including the hidden chamber, is prohibited. Any rule violation will be dealt with appropriately.

When marking the selections on the vote paper,  use only Arabic numerals such as 1, 2, 3, and so on. Any other method of preference marking will invalidate the ballot paper.
