Tata Steel is hiring an experienced Asst. Manager/Manager Projects & Construction at their Jamshedpur location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Implement construction schedule, work plan, and monitor day to day progress. Prepare progress updates.

Co-ordination with stakeholders for timely deliveries of services and materials at site.

Identification of needs arising during the project executions & escalation of issues for timely actions.

Collaborate with team members and business partners to improve productivity at site.

Preparation of work procedures, site execution plans, job distributions, monitoring quality and safety, ensuring compliance to drawings.

Study of drawing in advance for smooth execution, ensuring availability of all required resources for the same and integrating this into execution plan in time. Raising any special requirement and getting the same incorporated well in time for smooth execution.

Co-ordinate with vendor partners for man, materials, and machine to meet the construction schedule & project timeline.

Ensure implementation of work SOPs, Quality, Safety rules & standards at site.

Interface with customer department for resolution of day-to-day issues and ensure site work progress.

Documentation of job, drawings, prepare progress reports and MIS.

Manging contract resources and internal team for daily site progress.

Eligibility:

Functional knowledge of construction (Mech) structural & equipment erection and project management.

Ability to understand engineering drawings and execute the work as per drawings.

Well conversant with fabrication of structural materials, structure & equipment erection, pipeline jobs, quality assurance norms for industrial projects.
