Overview:

EBay is hiring an experienced Senior Tax Analyst at their Bangalore and Mumbai locations. You will support indirect tax monthly compliance functions for APAC taxing jurisdictions and assist the APAC Indirect Tax team with gathering and analyzing large data sets and other audit support documentation

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Support the implementation, maintenance, and administration of various indirect tax systems

Perform reconciliations between ERPs, tax engines, and other financial records

Perform ad-hoc tax technical research

Provide timely support related to external customers’ tax disputes

Work on multiple deliverables and projects as assigned

Collaborate and coordinate with various business resources, other tax functions, and external tax advisors

Eligibility:

Capable of working independently while acting as part of a global tax team

Must be familiar with indirect tax engines and able to partner with the tax technology team for tax assist rules and process change requests

Excellent knowledge of indirect tax regulations and authorities in the Asia Pacific region. Experience with indirect taxes in EMEA is helpful but not mandatory

Strong issue identification and mitigation skills

Ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner both written and verbally

Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and tax research engines required

Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, Alteryx and other data wrangling tools preferred

Experience with financial reporting systems such as SAP, JDE is preferred

4-8 years of related indirect tax experience.  Big 4 experience a plus

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with emphasis in Finance, Information Systems, or Accounting.  Advanced degree a plus

Strong fluency in English language – other languages helpful
