WBCS 2025: Exam Pattern and Syllabus will Remain Unchanged, Government Says WBCS 2025: On Wednesday, the state government of West Bengal called off its previous notification regarding the upgrading of the exam pattern for the West Bengal Civil Services (WBCS) (Executive). The government said that, rather than going for a detailed format of answers similar to the UPSC Exams, The format of the old exams will continue. Moreover, the statement released by the PAR Department states that, The two notifications of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms announcing a syllabus and format of the WBCS identical to the UPSC exams have been postponed. The syllabus and the format of the exams will stay the same as before the issuance of both the notifications. In September 2024, The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) issued a significant update to the WBCS exam Pattern starting in 2025.
