WBJS Recruitment 2023: The Public Service Commission, West Bengal has notified vacancies in the West Bengal Judicial Service and will conduct the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2022 in accordance with the existing rules for recruitment to the posts. As per the WBJS Recruitment 2023 Notification, There are a total of 29 vacancies for the Post of Civil Judge (Junior Division).
The W.B.J.S. Examination, 2022 will be held in three successive stages including a Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type), Final Examination (Conventional Type – Written), and a Personality Test. The closing date for submission of the online application will be on or before 31st January 2023 (up to 3:00 pm).
West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2022 for the Post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) has been notified by WBPSC. There are a total of 29 vacancy in total(Clear – 12 & Anticipated – 17)
The age of the candidate shall not be less than 23 years and not more than 35 years on the date of advertisement for the examination on 30.12.2022 (i.e., born not earlier than 31.12.1987 and not later than 30.12.1999).
(i) A citizen of India or such a person of other nationality as declared eligible by the Government of India;
(ii) A degree in Law from any University or Institution affiliated with any University recognized by the State
Government or the Central Government;
(iii) Enrolment as an advocate in the roll of the Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India on the date of advertisement for the examination;
(iv) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)
The W.B.J.S. Examination, 2022 will be held in three successive stages, viz.,
(i) Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type),
(ii) Final Examination (Conventional Type – Written), and
(iii) Personality Test. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Final Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Final Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test.
The Preliminary Examination will be held in Kolkata (Code – 11) and Darjeeling (Code – 12) in March 2023 or thereabout.
Only candidates of Kalimpong District and three Hill Sub-divisions of Darjeeling, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik, and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre. The Final Written Examination will be held at Kolkata in May 2023 or thereabout. A personality test will be held thereafter in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.
The selected candidate will be appointed at Pay Scale Rs. 27,700 – 770 – 33090 – 920 – 40450 – 1080 – 44770 (Pre-revised) for the Role of Civil Judge (Junior Division).
Every person appointed to the post shall on completion of training be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years if appointed by direct recruitment.

Closing date for submission of fees through online mode: 31st January 2023 (upto 3:00 pm)
Closing date for submission of fees offline: 1st of February 2023.*
However, the Challan must be generated by the 31st of January 2023 positively.
