Pay Scale under the WBPSC Recruitment 2023:

Post-Selection the Candidates shall be entitled to the Pay Scale upon Appointment as Civil Judge (Junior Judge) under the West Bengal Judicial Service.

Pay Scale: Rs.27700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770 (Pre-Revised)

Upper Age Limits vide WBSPC Recruitment 2023:

The Candidates (as on 30.12.2022) should have attained the Age Limits mentioned hereunder:

a) The General Category Candidate should have attained Minimum of 23 Years and must not exceed 35 Years.

b) Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates as mentioned in the WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.

Eligibility for WBPSC Recruitment 2023:

Essential Qualifications:

The Eligible Candidate should have the following Eligibility Criteria including Educational Qualification in possession:

i) Bachelor of Legal Laws (LL.B.) from the Recognized University or Institution Affiliated to any University duly Accredited by the State Government/ the Central Government;

ii) Enrolment as an Advocate in the Roll of Bar Council of any State /Union Territory in India on the Date of WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement for the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination for Civil Judge (Junior Division) Post as per the WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Desirable and Essential Proficiency: The Candidate must

i) be a Bona fide Citizen of India;

ii) have the Ability to Read, Write and Speak in Bengali (not required for those Candidates whose Mother-tongue is Nepali);

iii) have Sound Health and Good Character and suitability in all respects for Appointment into the West Bengal State Government Service.

Selection Process for WBPSC Recruitment 2023:

The West Bengal Public Service Commission, under the WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, shall conduct the Selection Process through 03 Stages as follows:

Stage 1: Objective Type Screening Test for 200 Marks with 2½ Examination Duration.

Stage 2: Final Examination consisting of 08  Compulsory Papers and 03 Papers on Optional Subjects for 1100 Marks.  Each Paper will carry 100 Marks.

Stage 3: Personality Test for 100 Marks

The Applicant should pay the Examination Fee through the Payment Gateway Online:

Application/Exam Fee: Rs.210.00 Plus Convenience Fee Rs. 5.00 Plus GST in the case of Online Payment and Service Charges at Rs.20.00
