WBPSC Recruitment 2022: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has sought Applications from the Candidates Eligible for the Posts; viz., 1) Senior Scientific Officer and 2) Scientific Officer in Narcotics Division of Forensic Science Laboratory, West Bengal and Laboratory Assistant in West Bengal General Service Cadre. The Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility for the Senior Scientific Officer (SSO), Scientific Officer and Laboratory Assistant under West Bengal General Service Department Home and Hill Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal Service/Cadre may go ahead with applying as per the Instructions. There are 10 Vacancies (02+04+04) earmarked for all 03 Posts.

Posting Location: West Bengal

1) Senior Scientific Officer in West Bengal General Service Cadre

A. Essential Qualifications:

i) A Second Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry from any duly recognized University or Equivalent, and

ii) 05 (Five) Years’ Experience of Analytical Methods and Research. Or

i) Bachelor Degree in Science having Chemistry as one of the Subjects from any duly recognized University or Equivalent; And

ii) 07 (Seven) Years’ Experience of Work in Forensic Chemistry.

B. Desirable: Working Experience in any Recognized Forensic Science Laboratory

2) Scientific Officer in West Bengal General Service Cadre

A. Essential Qualifications:

i) Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry) from any duly recognized University or Equivalent, and

ii) 02 (Two) Years’ Experience of Laboratory Work. Or

B. Desirable: Working Experience in any Recognized Forensic Science Laboratory

3) Laboratory Assistant in West Bengal General Service Cadre

Essential Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science from any duly recognized University. Or

A Pass Certificate in Higher Secondary Examination with Science Subjects with 01 (One) Year’s Experience in Analytical Work in any Scientific Laboratory.
