11.48 crore PANs not Linked with Aadhaar
The Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance Shri. Pankaj Chaudhary has stated in response to a question raised in Lok Sabha that 11.48 crore PANs are not Linked with Aadhaar.
The Minister Shrimati Mala Roy asked the question in Lok Sabha:
Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the Government earnings through late penalty at Rs. 1000 from the persons who have not linked their Pan Aadhaar after the last date on 30th June 2023 till 31 January 2024;
(b) whether the Government has any data about the number of Aadhaar Cards still pending for linking with Pan; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?
The Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance Shri. Pankaj Chaudhary replied:
(a) The total collection of fees from the persons who have not linked their PAN with Aadhaar is Rs. 601.97 crore from 01.07.2023 to 31.01.2024.
(b) and (c) Number of PANs not linked with Aadhaar, excluding exempted categories, is 11.48 crore as on 29.01.2024
