The provisional payroll data of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) reveals that 20.27 lakh new employees have been added in the month of June 2023.

In the month of June 2023, around 24,298 new enterprises were registered and placed under the social security umbrella of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, assuring increased coverage.

Data clearly shows that more employment have been created for the nation’s young, as 9.77 lakh employees under the age of 25 comprise the bulk of new registrations, accounting for 48.22% of the total employees recruited during the month of June 2023.

According to a gender-based examination of payroll data, the net enrolment of female members in June 2023 was 3.87 lakh. According to the data, a total of 71 transgender employees have enrolled under the ESI Scheme in the month of June 2023. It demonstrates that ESIC is committed to delivering its advantages to all segments of society.

Payroll data is tentative since data creation is a continual process.
