5paisa Capital Wins Major Relief in Income Tax Appeal, Disallowance Cut to Rs 2.87 Crore:

5paisa Capital Limited has received significant relief in its Income Tax appeal for the assessment year 2023-24. The company informed the stock exchanges on October 29 that the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), Mumbai, has partly allowed its appeal against an assessment order passed by the National Faceless Assessment Centre (NFAC), Delhi.

The original assessment order had raised additions and disallowances worth Rs 42.90 crore. However, in an order dated October 28, 2026, the appellate authority granted relief of Rs 40.03 crore, leaving only Rs 2.87 crore of disallowances in place.

The company said that it has sufficient documents to support its position on the remaining disallowance and will take the necessary action before the appropriate authority within the prescribed timelines.

The company also clarified that no compensation or penalty has been imposed in the matter. The order is largely in its favour, with most of the disputed tax amount being overturned.
