600 UPI ATMs launched by Bank of Baroda The Bank of Baroda has launched 6,000 UPI ATMs across the country, allowing users to withdraw cash without a debit card by scanning a QR code on the ATM's display screen. It is the first public sector bank to install UPI ATMs, in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India and powered by NCR Corporation, according to a statement from BoB. The facility employs an interoperable cardless cash withdrawal technology that allows customers of all participating issuer banks to withdraw from ATMs using any UPI-enabled mobile app. "Without using a card, the UPI ATM facility is a convenient and secure way to withdraw cash. It combines the popularity and security of UPI with the broad reach and accessibility of ATMs," said Joydeep Dutta Roy, executive director of Bank of Baroda.
