BUDGET 2022: In FY23 5G Spectrum Auction will be Conducted Says FM Nirmala Sitharaman

The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting her fourth Union Budget in Parliament in a paperless manner, like she did last year. Domestic and foreign investors, as well as other interest groups such as farmers, crypto investors, worried middle class and business organizations, as well as MPs, will be watching the Budget address closely.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget statement  stated that the spectrum auction for 5G rollout will take place in FY23.

In India, telecom providers have already begun testing 5G services.

In collaboration with Nokia, Bharti Airtel successfully completed India’s first 5G testing in the 700 MHz spectrum on the outskirts of Kolkata.

Airtel exhibited India’s first 5G experience over a live 4G network earlier this year. It also featured India’s first rural 5G testing and the first 5G Cloud gaming experience.

Another major player in the field of 5G testing technology is Reliance Jio. On its own 5G networks, the business has successfully completed experiments of connected drones.
