Overview:

PWC is hiring for an experienced IFS – Operate – Finance Solutions – Financial Accounting – Senior Associate at their Kolkata location. As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

What will you be doing:

  • Responsible for tasks, processes or entities in the area of Financial Accounting & Closing which includes solving of problems and response to ad hoc queries for assigned areas.
  • Completing a subset of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts including the full ownership of assigned accounts, deals or processes incl. ledger entries, reconciliation and substantiation.
  • Adhering to closing timelines, accounting policies and controls.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of Financial Accounting & Closing processes by proposing improvements to own tasks and processes.
  • Work collaboratively to drive ideas/solutions with peers and managers which will improve Client and PwC’s efficiency.
  • Developing close relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Managing your own workload, including reporting on progress and issues.
  • Developing the ability to be agile and support a range of client/projects.
  • Be able to implement and adapt to new or changing processes quickly.
  • Proactively build relationships with all team members within PwC including engagement with client teams as well as customers of our clients.

Qualifications for this job:

  • Education Qualification – B.Com (mandate) + M.Com/ MBA (Finance).
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Financial Accounting including various elements of a client’s finance function.
  • Self-motivated and independent.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; demonstrates basic analytical skills; Demonstrates commercial awareness in daily service provision within own area of responsibility.
  • Good communication skills (English) written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to work without supervision.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards of processes and control environment.
