Extend Due Date of Income Tax Returns and Tax Audit due to System Glitches by 3 Months
The BJP Professional Cell has requested Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Chairman Central Board of Direct Taxes and Revenue Secretary to Extend Due Date of Income Tax Returns and Tax Audit due to System Glitches.
This is a request to go through the representation and extend the due dates of Income Tax Return for Non-Audit as well as Audit cases and Tax Audit Report Submission dates.
As per the Representation it has been requested to extend the Due date of Filing the ITR for Non-Audit as well as for Audit cases due to System & Technical Glitches on the Income tax Portal, Other multiple Compliances for the business in July to September Month and due to Natural Calamities
As per the Representation, it has been mentioned that Taxpayers & professionals are struggling because of Glitches on the New Income tax portal since 7-6-2021. Some of the Glitches have been mentioned below which are given in the representation.
Most of the offline utilities of ITR were provided either at the end of June 2022 or version modified from time to time till June 2022 even though forms of ITR were notified much in advance. Even the utilities of ITR-5,6,7 & 8 are not provided properly and show errors while uploading the return of Income Tax.
AIS could not be downloaded since last 2 days. Annual information Statements are updated every day and Additional information are provided.
Some entries are in Form 26AS but missing in AIS, which creates confusion in the mind of Tax Payers and Professionals.
Facility to log in as Legal Heir or Representative Assessee is taking an unusually long time. Because of this Legal heir are not in a position to Upload the return of income of the Deceased person.
In Form No.16 Bifurcation of Salary is not provided and in ITR Bifurcation is required and Digital Signature registration takes a lot of time.
As per the Representation, there are Other multiple Compliances for the business from July to September Month Like TDS Returns, Advance Tax, GST Compliance, and MCA Compliances which also need to be taken care of
Also, Natural Calamities in Various Parts of the Country Like, Heavy Rain throughout The India, Monkey Pox cases are found in Kerala and it is creating a threat in the minds of people Etc.
Considering the above points it has been requested in the representation that the date should be extended by 3 months including registration of the company.
