GSL Recruitment 2022: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is a Mini Ratna Category I Company and is engaged in designing and building Ships for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. GSL is inviting applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Consultant under various trades. The recruitment to the center is for a period of 1 year. There are a total of 11 vacancies for the post. The maximum age limit to apply for the position is 63 years. The monthly remuneration paid is Rs. 50000.

For Consultant (HVACR)-

Qualification- Essential Qualification: Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning OR

Diploma in Production/Mechanical/Shipbuilding with certification/course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution.

Experience-  Essential Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification working experience in the relevant field. The candidate should have knowledge of heat load calculation, Ventilation systems, Dust collectors / Fume extractors, and be Conversant with the ISHRAE / ASHRAE standards. Should have handled the Chiller plant, Chilled water system and its distribution, Cooling water, distribution, Cooling towers, Air Handling Units, and Air Distribution system. Should be well conversant with Building Automation Systems (BAS) which includes Energy management systems, Chiller plant management, Variable refrigerant flow (VRF), and Central monitoring of all elements of the BAS as sensors, contacts sensors, valves, and actuators. Hands-on experience in handling alarm monitoring and detection, scheduling operations, tracking faults and managing preventive maintenance. Should be able to conduct training to GSL staff on the overall concept design, operational aspect (standard operating procedures), and maintenance (troubleshooting) aspect of the plant and sub-system. Should be able to guide, operate and interpret the BAS process management and handling of operational data, events alarm, and all documentation required for safe operation.

For Consultant (Commercial)-

Qualification- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university/AICTE-approved institution

Desirable qualification: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma from a recognized University/AICTE-approved institution with specialization in materials management/ supply chain management/logistics management

Experience-  Essential Work Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in a large industry in the procurement function. Having knowledge of Procurement procedures including GFR 2017, DPP 2016, and Manual for Procurement of Goods 2017 with hands-on experience in Procurement (both from indigenous and global sources) – Finalization of Contracts, Sub Contracts, and Work Contracts.

Persons with experience in any Ship Yard/PSU/Navy/Coast Guard/Central/State Government in the above areas will be preferred.

For Consultant ( Frigates- B&D Spares)-

Qualification- Essential Qualification: Diploma in any technical stream from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution

Experience- The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification working experience in defense services / reputed firms in the areas of Equipment manufacturing/ production/ design/ maintenance/ operation, upkeeps, repair or spare handling. The candidate should have knowledge of spares management and inventory management. The candidate should have handled software related to inventory management and should be well-versed in the codification process of the spares/ parts. Candidates having experience working in ILMS or inventory management software in use with the Indian Navy and ranging and scaling of long-term exploitation spares (B&D) will be preferred. Experience in inspection/QA-related billets will also be preferred.

Desirable Experience- Experience/knowledge of the spare management system of the Indian Navy. Experience in service in Quality Assurance organizations.

For Consultant (Technical Services)-

Qualification- Essential Qualification: Diploma with specialization in Mechanical/ Marine Engineering from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution

Experience-  Essential Work Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience and should possess Engineering design experience in the shipbuilding Industry. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the development of Propulsion shafting arrangements for various platforms incorporating the Class rules, Owners’ requirements, and integrating with the ship hull. The candidate should have exposure to the preparation of Price Estimates for new projects. The candidate should be proficient in the finalization of Equipment technical specifications meeting the cost targets incorporating owners and class rule requirements for initiating procurement. The candidate should be capable of conducting TNC with the firm’s and owner’s rep prior to finalizing the procurement. Further, the candidate should have relevant managerial work experience for the preparation of production drawings for the execution of projects.

Desirable Experience- Knowledge of working on ERP system, AUTOCAD. Persons with experience in any Ship Yard / PSU / Navy / Coast Guard / Central / State Government in the above areas will be preferred.

For Consultant (GES -Mechanical)-

Qualification- Essential Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution.

Experience- Essential Work Experience: Post qualification experience of a minimum of 10 years as Chief ERA or above (in Navy) or equivalent in other Services/PSUs. Further, hands-on experience in handling repairs and maintenance of main equipment including main engine, gearbox, Water jets, OEMs, Air Conditioning Plants, DGs, and other systems fitted in boats up to 20m in Length is also essential.

Desirable Experience- The candidates should have experience handling vendors & subcontractors during the construction phase of the boats. The candidates also need to have experience and skills to interact with Customers during the Trial and Post Delivery phase of the boats to satisfactorily handle Guarantee liabilities with the help of respective equipment OEMs.

For Consultant (GES -Elecctrical)-

Qualification- Essential Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution

Experience- Essential Work Experience: Post-qualification experience of minimum 10 years as Chief EAP/EAR or above (in Navy) or equivalent in other Services/PSUs. Further, hands-on experience in handling repairs and maintenance of navigation, communication and general electrical systems fitted in boats up to 20m in Length.

Desirable Experience- The candidates should have experience handling vendors & subcontractors during the construction phase of the boats. The candidates also need to have experience and skills to interact with Customers during the Trial and Post Delivery phase of the boats to satisfactorily handle Guarantee liabilities with the help of respective equipment OEMs.
