GRSE Recruitment 2022: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE) is hiring eligible candidates for the posts of Expert (Software Developer- JAVA), and Expert (Software Developer- SAP- ABAP). As per the official GRSE Recruitment 2022 notification, there are only 4 vacancies for these posts.

The Recruitment will be on a contractual basis. The last date for application submission is 14th December 2022. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted an application against the advertisement and apparently fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not bestow on him/her the right to be definitely considered for the selection process.

The experience mentioned against the posts excludes any kind of traineeship including Management Trainee / Graduate Engineer Trainee etc. GRSE reserves the right to fill up all the posts based on suitability or increase / decrease the number of posts to be filled up or cancel any post or even cancel the whole process of engagement without assigning any reason. Option of Hindi medium shall be given in the interview. If selected, the candidates can be posted to any Unit/ Project/location of the company. The final selection of candidates is subject to medical fitness by Company’s Medical Officer as per the Company’s Rules.

Name of the Post for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

As per the GRSE Official Recruitment Notification Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited are recruiting for an Expert (Software Developer- JAVA), and Expert (Software Developer- SAP- ABAP).

Qualification for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

1. For an Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech), Lateral entry to the 3rd semester of an 8-semester course/ 2nd year of 4 years course will also be considered as an equivalent qualification). Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Sciences/Software and related fields will not be considered equivalent.

2. The qualification mentioned (BE/B.Tech/MCA) would be of full-time only. No Part Time/Correspondence course will be accepted.

3. Postgraduate integrated Degree Courses will also be allowed for engineering disciplines. The integrated Professional qualification should be of 5 years duration after the 10+2 qualification. iv. AICTE / UGC / Government of India recognized/ approved Degree/ PG Degree courses in concerned discipline (as referred above) awarded by University/ Institution recognized by Govt. of India will only be considered.

4. The date of declaration of result/issuance of mark sheet shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account.

5. Candidates having a Master’s degree in engineering must possess the minimum qualification prescribed for the post.

6. Wherever grades e.g. CGPA/OGPA/DGPA (as applicable) are awarded, the following method will be adopted for conversion to an equivalent percentage of marks:

  • The conversion of CGPA to the percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/ Institution from where they have obtained the qualifying degree. Documents viz. Mark sheet/ Final/ Provisional Degree/ Letter issued by the competent authority of the respective University/ Institution will be considered for ascertaining the CGPA to percentage conversion criteria.
  • In case the University/Institution does not have any criteria for converting CGPA into the equivalent percentage of marks, it has to be categorically mentioned in the Mark sheet / Final/ Provisional Degree/ Letter issued by the competent authority of the respective University/Institution. In such cases, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.

Experience for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

1. Expert (Software Developer- JAVA)

Minimum 05 years of post-qualification work experience out of which 03 years experience in the field of JAVA Programming/ JAVA application development.

Skills & Attributes:

  • 3+ years of Java Programming experience.
  • Experience working on the latest version of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, Rest API, Java 1.8
  • Hands-on experience with Java Microservices.
  • Acquaintance with MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Access)
  • Experience in SQL Query design, RDBMS architecture & ER (Entity Relationship) Diagrams.
  • Good knowledge of code optimization, analytical and debugging skills.
  • Experience in managing Java & Java EE application development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Should be able to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

2. Expert (Software Developer- SAP- ABAP)

Minimum 05 years of post-qualification work experience out of which 03 years experience in the field of ABAP Programming/ ABAP application development.

Skills & Attributes:

  • 3+ years of SAP ABAP Programming experience.
  • Technical Skills required: Core ABAP Programming, Dialog Programming, ALV reports, ODATA.
  • Strong knowledge of RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects, Experience in Programming using OOPs
  • Strong knowledge of core ABAP Programming (Reports, Function Modules, SAP Scripts, BDC, DDIC).
  • Good knowledge of code optimization, and hands-on various SAP/ABAP tools (EPC, Code Inspector). Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • ABAP development and technical specification mastery Ability to do good technical design.
  • Experience working on support projects.
  • Should have knowledge of ALE/IDoC and SMART FORMS
  • Strong communication skills.

Age limit for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

The maximum age limit is 50 years for both Expert (Software Developer- JAVA) and Expert (Software Developer – SAP-ABAP).

Job Description for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

Expert (Software Developer-JAVA):

  • Java developer will be responsible for the analysis and design phases of the project and providing technical leadership through the subsequent stages of development.
  • Build good technical design based on functional specifications and have the ability to propose technical solutions as and when required.
  • Have a sound understanding of the system under development at any given time, its business usage, technical architecture, performance, and functionality-related issues.
  • Build exhaustive documentation on the projects executed.
  • Provide training to business users/end users.

Expert (Software Developer-SAP-ABAP):

  • THE SAP ABAP developer will be responsible for the analysis and design phases of the project and providing technical leadership through the subsequent stages.
  • Have a sound understanding of the system under development at any given time, its business usage, technical architecture, performance, and functionality-related issues.
  • Build good technical design based on functional specifications and have the ability to propose technical solutions as and when required.

How to Apply for GRSE Recruitment 2022:

i. All candidates have to submit applications ONLINE through the ‘Career section’ of the GRSE official website.

ii. All candidates are required to apply ONLINE and upload the soft copies of self-attested copies of testimonials/certificates in support of Date of Birth, Category, Educational & Professional qualification, Professional Experience, etc. (in pdf format) in the requisite places of the application link. The candidate should also take a printout of auto generated filled in Application Format, put their signature at designated places and send it along with self-attested copies of testimonials/certificates in support of Date of Birth, Category, Educational & Professional qualification, Experience, etc. through ORDINARY POST only to Post Box No. 3076, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003, so as to reach within 20 Dec 2022. The envelope containing the application and supporting documents should be super-scribed with “GRSE Employment Notification No. OS/EXP: 03/2022” and “Post Applied for ….”.

iii. Serving candidates of Govt. / Semi-Govt. / PSUs / Autonomous Organizations are further required to forward the auto-generated printout along with self-attested copies of supporting documents through the proper channels before 20 Dec 2022 to the address mentioned above or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.

iv. Please note that the candidature of the candidate is liable to be canceled if he/she submits more than one application for the same post.

v. GRSE will not be responsible for any delay/loss in postal transit of any application or communication.

vii. The selection for all posts will be through interviews.

viii. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding the Interview Call Letter etc. shall be provided through e-mail uploaded at the time of application/uploading on the GRSE website. Responsibility for receiving, downloading, and printing of Interview Call Letter or any other information shall be of the candidate only. GRSE will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent, due to an invalid/wrong e-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery of e-mails to Spam/Bulk mail folder for delay/non-receipt of information if a candidate fails to access his/her mail/website in time or DND activated mobile no. etc.

Application Fees:

(i) Application fee is Rs. 500 which can be remitted online (Payment Gateway) by the applicants. Applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD are exempted from payment of the Application Fee.

(ii) The application fee is non-refundable; hence, candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility for the post before applying.
