CSIR Recruitment 2022: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is hiring eligible candidates for the posts of Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Principal Scientist. As per the official CSIR Recruitment 2022 notification, there are only 16 vacancies for these posts.
The last date for application submission is 25th December 2022. All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as of the last date of receipt of the online/offline applications. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the essential qualifications laid down for various posts as of the last date of receipt of the applications. No inquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with documents. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit a separate online application form for each post indicating the category and postcode along with the prescribed application fee and copies of all marks cards, certificates and testimonials separately for each post.

Research experience must be in the field of Crustal structure and deformation/ground motion modeling/ seismic hazard/ data-intensive modeling in the related fields.

The post-wise salary description has been given below:
1. Basic pay:
a. Scientist – Rs 67700
b. Senior Scientist – Rs 78800
c. Principal Scientist – Rs 123100
2. Total Emoluments:
a. Scientist – Rs 120000 per month
b. Senior Scientist – Rs 138000 per month
c. Principal Scientist – Rs 210000 per month
a. Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE through CSIR’s official website.
b. If the candidate does not have a valid email id, he/she should create a new valid email id before applying online.
c. Online Application window will be opened from 19.11.2022 up to 18.12.2022 on the CSIR-4PI website.
d. Candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable application fee of Rs.500/- for each application (Rupees Five hundred only) payable separately for each post. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/Abroad Candidates category are exempted from submission of the application fee.
e. In the case of universities/institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentages based on the formula as per their university/institute. In case of no clarity about converting into percentages, Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria to convert CGPA/ SGPA/ OGPA to percentages for shortlisting candidates.
f. Successful online application is indicated by the page displayed after clicking Submit Button indicating the generated “APPLICATION NUMBER”. Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-print the Application.
g. In case the candidate wants to modify/withdraw the application there is a ‘CANCEL’ option to cancel the online application. Please note that application once canceled will not be retrieved at any stage. If you have canceled the application, please reapply before the closure of the Application Date as per the advertisement. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details.
h. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application forms for each post indicating the Post Code.
i. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other recruitment or selection process.
j. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered only if forwarded through the proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant if selected will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders. Also, vigilance clearance should also be recorded. However, an advance copy of the application may be submitted before the closing date. Applications routed through the proper channels should reach the Controller of Administration, CSIR-Fourth Paradigm Institute, (CSIR-4PI), NWTC Road, NAL Belur Campus, Bengaluru-560037 at the earliest.
k. Candidates should specifically note that the online applications received after the closing date for any reason
whatsoever will not be entertained by CSIR-4PI.
l. Incomplete online applications (i.e., without photograph, unsigned and application fee, applicable testimonials, etc.) will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.
