Indian Railway Recruitment 2023 for 4103 Vacancies, Check Posts, Qualification and How to Apply

Indian Railway Recruitment 2023: Indian Railway is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of AC Mechanic, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Machinist, MMTM, MMW, Painter and Welder. There are a total of 4103 vacancies for the given posts. As per the official notification of Indian Railway recruitment 2023, the minimum age limit to apply for the post is 15 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years. 

Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both 10th Class/matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of South Central Railway.

Age Limit for Indian Railways Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Indian Railways Recruitment 2023, the age limit is given below-

The minimum age limit is- 15 years.

The maximum age limit is- 24 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for OBC candidates, and by 10 years for PwBD and Ex-servicemen.

Qualification for Indian Railways Recruitment 2023:

The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10-2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board and also possess ITI Certificate in the trade notIfied from the institutes recognized by NCVT/SCVT.

ITI Certificates issued by Institutes affiliated to NCVT/SCVT are compulsory in the relevant trades as under-

Selection Procedure for Indian Railways Recruitment 2023:

Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both 10th Class/matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation/10th Class exam earlier shall be considered.

How to Apply for Indian Railways Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Indian Railways Recruitment 2023, interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official website of South Central Railway. Candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as application fee and SC/ST/Women and PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
