CEED 2023 cut-off will be published soon; Learn About Candidate Shortlisting Criteria
CEED 2023 (Common Entrance Examination for Design): CEED is an entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to various postgraduate programs in Design offered by IITs and other institutes. The CEED 2023 exam was conducted in the month of January 2023.
The exam had two parts- Part A and Part B. Candidates must clear both parts to be eligible for admission. Part A was conducted in online mode and Part B was in offline mode.
CEED 2023 Cut Off is expected to be released soon by IIT, the exam conducting authority of CEED. The CEED Cut Off is the minimum mark a candidate must obtain to be shortlisted for the admission process.
The CEED Cut Off varies every year as different factors like the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, availability of seats, and previous CEED Cut Off marks are taken into consideration while determining the CEED Cut Off. On February 9, 2023, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will announce the cut-off marks for the CEED 2023 exam for Part A. Only eligible students can see the cut-off marks, which will be announced category by category.
According to the most recent announcement, candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the institution’s cut-off list. Furthermore, the institution will evaluate the answer booklets of all such candidates who are shortlisted. These candidates will also be assigned a merit rank during the admissions process. Shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the seat allocation process organized by the participating institutes.
Candidates who secure marks equal to or above the announced CEED Cut Off will be shortlisted for the admission process. The CEED 2023 Cut Off will be released in the form of minimum marks scored in each section of the exam.
The shortlisting criteria for CEED 2023 include the following:
1. Candidates must score minimum marks in each section of the exam.
2. Candidates should also have a valid score in Part B of the exam as it forms an important part of the shortlisting process.
3. Candidates must also meet the minimum overall cut-off marks as mentioned in the CEED Cut Off to become eligible for admission.
4. The CEED Cut-Off will also consider the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, the availability of seats, and the previous year’s CEED Cut Off marks.
