UPSC is hiring applicants for various posts Regional Director in the National Centre for Organic and Natural Farming, Assistant Commissioner (Natural Resource Management/Rainfed Farming System, Assistant Ore Dressing Officer in the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence) in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, Assistant Mining Engineer in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines and Youth Officer in National Service Scheme, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports on a Probation period. There are 69 vacancies.

Eligibilty for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the aforementioned positions must meet the eligibility requirements listed below.

Regional Director

M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute; or M.Sc. in Botany with a specialization in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, or Mycology from a recognized University or Institute; OR M.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University or Institute with a specialization in Soil Science, Agricultural Chemistry, Agronomy, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, or Agricultural Extension.

Assistant Commissioner

Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics or Agriculture Botany or; Master’s Degree in Botany or Forestry or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Assistant Ore Dressing Officer

Masters Degree in Ore Dressing, Mineral Processing, Geology, Physics, or Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mineral Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgy from a recognized University or Institute.

Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence)

Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a Masters’s Degree in Applied Geology, Geology, or Economics from a recognized University or Institute.

Assistant Mining Engineer

Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Age limit for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The age limit required for the given post is between 30 years to 55 years. The bifurcation of age limits is given below.

• For the Regional Director post, the maximum age limit is 55 years.
• For the Assistant Commissioner post, the maximum age limit is 40 years.
• The maximum age limit for the Assistant Ore Dressing Officer post is 35 years.
• The maximum age limit for the Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence) post is 35 years.
• For the Assistant Mining Engineer post, the maximum age limit is 30 years.
• For the Youth Officer post, the maximum age limit is 30 years. 

Salary for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

•  Candidates applying for the Regional Director post will receive a monthly salary in Level 12 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Candidates applying for the Assistant Commissioner will receive a monthly salary in Level 11 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Candidates applying for the Assistant Ore Dressing Officer will receive a monthly salary in Level 10 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Candidates applying for the Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence) will receive a monthly salary in Level 10 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Candidates applying for the Assistant Mining Engineer will receive a monthly salary in Level 7 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
• Candidates applying for the Youth Officer will receive a monthly salary in Level 7 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.
