Overview:

Ford is hiring an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer at their Chennai location. You will write production quality code that delivers great customer experiences and work on a small agile team to deliver working, tested software.

What will you be doing:

Work effectively with product owners, product designers and other technical experts

Review, comment and accept code base contributions

Contribute to Service Level Objectives

Design feature level solutions

Onboard and train new engineers

Mentor junior engineers

Workflows, configuration changes, promotions b/w environments.

API’s and integrations.

Governance and controls to be implemented.

Configuration of receivables, automated credit decisioning, payout handling, Customer,

Account and Dealer servicing, collections & recovery, remarketing services.

Qualifications for this Job:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of Alfa financial tools usage experience

8+ years software engineering experience in application development

Experience with cloud native environments such as serverless, containers, multiple data repository structures.

Experience with software operations (Dev Ops, SRE, observability, support/maintenance, etc.)

Demonstrated experience designing reactive service oriented systems using enterprise tooling (web, interop, persistence, etc.)

Experience architecting solutions for appropriate scale, reliability security, performance, etc.
