State Tax Department Retrives Rs. 3.16 crore Penalty from GST Defaulters

The Deputy Commissioner, Ranjeet Singh, State Taxes Enforcement Kathua, HQ Lakhanpur, executed a detailed examination of the actions of the Kathua enforcement wing from April 2023 to December 23rd, 2023.

Assistant Commissioner Lakhanpur, STOs, and other enforcement wing field officials attended the meeting.

The review’s primary findings include the exceptional realization of a Rs. 3.16 crore penalty from GST defaulters.

During the era, major commodities on which penalties were levied included cases without sufficient documentation, marble/granite, metal scrap, furniture products, tobacco products, and other defaults.

In comparison to the previous financial year, the office of the Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes had a 73% rise in revenue realization.

The entire exercise was conducted by the staff of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement Lakhanpur, under the vigilant oversight of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement Lakhanpur, Ranjeet Singh, under the overall supervision of Namrata Dogra (Additional Commissioner of State Taxes) and Dr Rashmi Singh, Commissioner State Taxes Department.
