The official Employees State Insurance Cooperation Recruitment 2025 notification states that the candidate will be appointed initially for a period of one year, further extendable on an annual basis upon satisfactory performance up to a maximum period of 3 years (up to an age of 65 years as per DCI guidelines) or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
The incumbent would serve the initial first year of the contract, independent of regular faculty joining during this period. However, the contract would be terminable on one month’s notice, on joining of regular faculty in the subsequent years of the contract. And the candidate cannot claim for regularization on the post.
