The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said that Aadhaar holders can continue using the free online document update service on the myAadhaar portal till June 14, 2027. Earlier, the last date for this free service was June 2026. This means people can update important documents such as proof of identity and address online without paying any fee. The service is available only through the myAadhaar portal. UIDAI also shared a post on social media 'X' regarding the enrolment update. UIDAI said, "To facilitate a seamless Aadhaar enrolment or update process, individuals may refer to the complete list of acceptable documents on Vikaspedia."

For Aadhaar enrolment and updates, UIDAI accepts certain documents to confirm a person’s identity, address, date of birth and relationship details.
