If someone is unable to update his/her Aadhaar by the designated deadline, then the person will need to pay the late fee of Rs. 50 once the deadline ends. The person will be charged the same amount if he/she upload documents via physical mode.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website, https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
  • Step 2: Log in using your Aadhaar number and one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Step 3: Your profile details will be displayed on the screen. Check if there are any mistakes.
  • Step 4: If it feels like all details are correct, then tap on the ‘I verify that the above details are correct’ option.
  • Step 5: From the drop-down menu, select the identity document that you want to upload.
  • Step 6: Upload your identity document. Ensure the size is less than 7 MB and the file format is JPEG, PNG, or PDF.
  • Step 7: Now, from the drop-down menu, select the address document you want to upload.
  • Step 8: Upload your address document. Ensure the size is less than 2 MB and the file format is JPEG, PNG, or PDF.
  • Step 9: Submit the made changes.
  • Step 10: Save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.

Your Aadhaar updating process will then be considered completed.
