Overview:

American Express is hiring an experienced Senior Engineer, Candidate will be working virtually for this job position. This position will work closely with all CCCS locations and peers across GBT providing consulting expertise, leveraging business and technical knowledge to support business strategies and deliver business value.  This will be part of a global team with presence in North America, UK and India.  This position will be North America based and is a entry-level position. ­

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Responsible for supporting a global contact center supporting global calls for all lines of business.  The contact center telephony is utilizing Cisco infrastructure.

Virtual position with a preference for the North America West Coast.

Responsible for creating new call flows and troubleshooting errors via Cisco technology.

Individual will receive training on call flow logic, call center technology, script creation, report generation along with various technology tools used in supporting a global contact center.

Requirements will be received from Operations teams and the requirements are reviewed to align with call flow standards/templates.

Code will be created to allow incoming calls to be routed correctly to an agent.

Training will be provided for voice response, routing, reporting and detailed options supporting various technology features included but not limited to messages, routing, data capture, voicemail, call backs, surveys etc.

The features and code will be trained in steps and as each step is mastered additional training will be provided

Responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing and adherence to technical compliance standards. Works primarily with Lead Project Managers, Program Managers, Architects and/or Vendor partners.

Interacts with the business to understand associated business processes in conjunction with Process Analyst resources (if available).

Works with Business Analysts/business partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions.

Ensures technical design/implementation documentation is completed to a high standard (delegating to Senior Programmer Analysts and Programmers as appropriate):

Works on projects, applications and platforms supporting contact applications

Regular code reviews to ensure alignment with development, implementation and performance standards

Provide updates to program specification and implementation documentation

Revise code based on test results

Involved in various testing phases

Interacts with the business to understand associated business processes

Works with Business Analysts to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions

Ensures technical design documentation is completed to a high standard

Performs software design, development and documentation activities

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree required and a preference given to individuals who have successfully completed classes in Python, C++, SQL Queries, Java or any related programming type classes.

This technology requires logical thinking and thought leadership to understand the requirements and create the code to meet the specific requirements.

Highly organized with strong ability to multi-task.

Recognize and solve problems quickly and escalate as appropriate

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross functional teams, business partners and technology leaders

Strong desire to learn and self starter
