Anti Corruption Team taking steps to curb malpractice and presence of unauthorised person in Delhi GST department The Anti Corruption Team is there in the Delhi GST department to curb the malpractice and the presence of unauthorised persons in Wards. Via a Circular, instructions were issued for restricting the movement of unauthorised persons in the Ward/Branch offices of the Department. The Circular Read as follows: Attention of all Branch In-charges and Proper Officers of Wards is invited to this office Circular No. F.4(385)/Vig./DTT/2021/PF-1/1232-34 dated 25.08.2022, thereby instructions were issued for restricting the movement of unauthorised persons in Ward/Branch offices of the Department. However, it is observed that the instructions are not adhered to strictly by the Branch In­charges and Proper Officers of Wards. The Competent Authority has viewed the lapses on the part of Officers/Officials of the Department very seriously. Accordingly, the instructions/directions are hereby reiterated for information and strict observance by all concerned:- 1. All the staff presently working in this department, are strictly directed to wear their ID Cards while on duty. 2. A detailed visitor register shall be maintained in each Ward and Branch. 3. While processing the cases related to assessment, refund, cancellation etc; it shall be ensured by all the Proper Officers, LDCs, UDCs and other staff in their ward that only the owner/the proprietor/authorised representative(s) of a registered fmn shall appear with proper authorisation if personal appearance is required. In case of any officer/officials of the Department found indulging in any official activity with unauthorized person in their respective Wards/Branch action as deemed fit as per provisions of Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965 shall be initiated against him/her.
