Overview:

PhonePe is hiring an experienced Category Manager – Bill pay at their Bangalore location. Recharge and Bill Pay team focuses on driving PhonePe acceptance across categories like utilities, government agencies, insurance, fast tag, telecom, etc. across the country. The Regional Lead is expected to contribute towards managing and driving rapid growth of the business. The role demands developing a deep understanding of category business and customer behaviour and the passion to create value for all stakeholders

Roles and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Responsible for all utility categories like electricity, water, piped gas, municipal taxes, e-challans, etc.
• Lead the category P&L and engagement for north & east / west/south region of the country
• Work closely with billers to identify tactical/ strategic growth opportunities for both in app and converting offline to online transactions
• Collaboration with internal teams- marketing, business finance, customer service, etc to manage  the category daily
• Product interventions basis market demands and optimizing for customer experience / category growth
• Opportunity to work with key stakeholders in the Bill pay Industry in the country

Eligibility:

• MBA from Tier 1/2 campus with good academic record (graduated in 2018/ 19) or B.Tech from top tier institute (graduated in 2017/18)
• Have 2-3 years work experience in external stakeholder facing business roles
• Strong problem solving ability leveraging data and business understanding
• Prior experience in driving category business in a relevant space/organization will be an added advantage
• Have an entrepreneurial drive to open up new opportunities of growth and strong execution rigour to bring it to closure
• Strong ability to collaborate and influence cross functional teams
