These holidays include the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, as well as Sundays. According to the RBI holiday calendar, eight holidays are state-specific holidays for various reasons, while the others are weekend holidays. In some places, both public and private banks would be closed on Guru Hargobind Ji's birthday, MHIP Day, Ker Puja, Bhanu Jayanti, U Tirot Sing Day, Drukpa Tshe-zi, Ashoora, and Muharram (Tajiya).
