Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is seeking applications from qualified applicants for admission to Diploma in Radiological Physics (DipRP) course is M.Sc. (Physics).

Age Limit for BARC Recruitment 2024:

The applicant’s age should not exceed 26 years in order to apply for BARC Recruitment 2024.

Age Relaxation-

• OBC – 29 years
• SC/ST – 31 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities – Age relaxation by up to 10 years (The candidates with physical disabilities limited to the lower extremities, but permitting to stand, move and physically able to carry out the course work will only be considered)
• For the sponsored candidates of all categories the upper age limit as on 1 st August 2024 is 40 years.

Tenure for BARC Recruitment 2024:

As stated in the official notification of BARC Recruitment 2024, the duration of course is 01 year.

Stipend for BARC Recruitment 2024:

The selected candidate for BARC Recruitment 2024 will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 25000.

Eligibility Criteria for BARC Recruitment 2024:

The given below is the Eligibility Criteria for BARC Recruitment 2024.

• Candidates must have DipRP course is M.Sc. (Physics) with not less than 60% marks in aggregate through full time programme. In addition, the candidate should posses the B.Sc. (physics as a main subject) Degree with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates with integrated M.Sc. (Physics) with not less than 60% marks in aggregate through full time programme are also eligible. In case of grade system, grade to percentage of marks conversion scheme obtained from the University should be presented at the time of document verification / interview. The sponsored candidates should have at least one-year working experience in a Radiotherapy Department of Government Institution in India. The working experience will be counted from the date of enrolment in personal monitoring service. A certificate/declaration in this matter should be furnished at the time of interview. The sponsored candidate should also submit a documentary evidence of availing personal monitoring service from BARC/accredited laboratories.

Note– Those who are awaiting final results / appearing in M.Sc. (Physics) Degree may also apply. However, such candidates should have scored marks not less than 60% aggregate until the previous year. If awaiting final results/ appearing candidates are selected for admission to DipRP course, they should submit their M.Sc. Degree and mark sheet by 30th October 2024 failing which their candidature will be terminated. In case the appearing, candidates admitted to the course do not secure 60% marks in aggregate in the M.Sc. (Physics) examination, their candidature will be terminated.

Selection Procedure for BARC Recruitment 2024:

The written test and interview will be conducted to choose the right applicant for BARC Recruitment 2024.

Written test- The test will be held on 30/06/2024 at 11.00 hrs. (Sunday) at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai – 400 094.  The written test duration is 1.5 hrs. It is based on Multiple Choice Questions with negative marking for incorrect answers.

Interview– The shortlisted applicants after the written test will be called for interview. The interview will be held on 01/07/2024 (Monday) to 03/07/2024 (Wednesday) commencing from 10.00 hrs. onwards at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai-400 094.

Medically fit- Candidates will be admitted to the course only after they are declared medically fit by the BARC hospital, Mumbai.

• The result of written test will be declared on the same day on the BARC website www.recruit.barc.gov.in. 

Admission Fee for BARC Recruitment 2024:

Candidates have to pay an admission fee of Rs. 6,000 (Rupees Six thousand only) at the time of admission. The fee should be paid through ECS to Accounts Officer, HBNI, Mumbai.

Application Fee for BARC Recruitment 2024:

Candidates have to pay Rs. 500 as application fee. The SC/ST applicants, Dependents of Defense Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), women candidates and persons with benchmark disabilities candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
