BHU Recruitment 2022: The Banaras Hindu University is hiring Indian citizens for engagement in the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor purely on a contractual basis in the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha (Mirzapur), BHU for the academic session 2022-23, which may extend if required. Retired teachers are also eligible to apply. There are 22 vacancies for these posts. The remuneration for the post of Professor and Associate Professor will be the last pay drawn minus pension if any or as per University rules and for the Assistant Professor post it will be Rs. 57700 p.m. (fixed).
The candidates having minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may appear for walk-in-interview along with their downloaded application form with original certificate/documents at the Office of the Joint Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, at 9.00 a.m. on 03.11.2022 to 04.11.2022.

Education Qualification for Post Codes: 1,2,3,5,7,9,11,13,15, 16,18,19):
(i) A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
(ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade on the point scale.
(iii) Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale.
(iv) Ph.D. in concerned/relevant discipline and
(v) A minimum of 10 years of experience in Teaching/Research/Extension in an educational or research Institute of which at least 3 years should be as an Associate Professor (Rs. 12000-18300) (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position excluding the period spent for doing Ph.D. degree.
(vi) Evidence of contribution to Teaching/Research/ Extension as supported by published work/innovations.
Education Qualification For Post Codes: 4,6,10, 12,14,17,20):
(i) A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
(ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale.
(iii) Master’s degree in the concerned discipline e with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale.
(iv) Ph.D. in the concerned*/ relevant discipline with a consistently good academic record. *NB: For Associate Professor in Animal Genetics & Breeding: Ph.D. in the concerned/ relevant discipline/ Animal Biotechnology with a consistently good academic record.
(v) A minimum of 8 years experience in a relevant subject as a Research Scientist/ Assistant Professor/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 excluding the period spent in obtaining a Ph.D. degree.
(vi) Evidence of contribution to Teaching/Research/ Extension as evidenced by published work/innovations.
Education Qualification For post Codes:8, 21,22):
(i) Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. (2) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (3) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed with a consistently good academic record (4) For the candidates having a Master’s degree, NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal. For recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, the essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree, provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has at least two full-length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degrees without coursework will not qualify for the NET exemption.(As per ICAR order No.23(46)/2010-EQR(Edn.)Dated Dec.26, 2011),
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturer/Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
