Breaking: Due date extended for DIR-3 KYC Filing by MCA The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) under the Government of India has recently issued a circular (No. 05/2025), dated October 15, 2025, addressed to the Director General of Corporate Affairs, all the Regional Directors, Registrars of Companies, and Stakeholders. The circular is titled "Extension of time for filing e-form DIR-3-KYC and web form DIR-3-KYC-WEB without filing fee upto 31st October, 2025."

Basically, the circular has made an important announcement regarding the extension of the due date for e-form DIR-3-KYC and web form DIR-3-KYC-WEB (without filing fee). The deadline has now been extended till October 31, 2025. The ministry informs that this update is in continuation of its General Circular No. 04/2025, dated 29.09.2025. This is the third time an extension has been done to the due date for e-form DIR-3-KYC and web-form DIR-3-KYC-WEB (without filing fee), the initial deadline was September 30, 2025, then it was extended till October 15, 2025, and now it has again been extended till October 31, 2025, vide the same aforementioned circular.

The annual KYC filing is compulsory for every individual who has been allotted a Director Identification Number (DIN) by March 31, 2025. Individuals who are disqualified, no longer directors, and designated partners in a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) are also required to file annual KYC.
