Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, announced in the annual state budget for 2022-23 that the government would take steps to reduce CNG prices. In this regard, the government has issued a gazette notification. According to Pawar, the government will suffer a loss of Rs 800-Rs 1,000 crore as a result of the VAT reduction on CNG.
