Infosys Ltd. (INFY) emerged as the top loser in the Nifty 50 index on April 1, 2025, with its stock declining by 1.75% to close at ₹1,543.10, down ₹27.55 from its previous close of ₹1,570.65. The drop is likely attributed to profit-booking in IT stocks and weak global cues impacting the sector.

HDFC Bank Ltd. (HDFCBANK) also witnessed a decline, slipping 1.20% to ₹1,806.20 from its previous close of ₹1,828.20. The fall in share price reflected the overall pressure in the banking and financial services sector.

Shriram Finance Ltd. (SHRIRAMFIN) saw its stock dip by 1.14% to ₹648.55, down ₹7.45 from the previous close of ₹656.00. The decline was in line with the broader weakness in non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) ended the session at ₹3,574.25, a drop of ₹31.90 or 0.88% from the previous close of ₹3,606.15. The IT giant followed the broader trend of selling in tech stocks, triggered by cautious global sentiments.

Axis Bank Ltd. (AXISBANK) was another laggard, closing at ₹1,094.05, down ₹7.95 or 0.72% from its previous close of ₹1,102.00. The bank stock mirrored the subdued performance of the financial sector.

HCL Technologies Ltd. (HCLTECH) also faced a marginal decline of 0.65%, with its stock price settling at ₹1,582.10, compared to the previous close of ₹1,592.50. The fall highlighted the cautious investor mood in the IT segment.

Lastly, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BAJAJFINSV) slipped by 0.63% to ₹1,994.65, losing ₹12.70 from the previous close of ₹2,007.35. The stock’s movement reflected the overall bearishness seen in financial stocks during the trading session.
