Breaking: Sensex tanks 1000 pts, Nifty below 16,500, amid Russia-Ukraine War; Is it Good to Invest Now Check Details

Today Domestic markets opened trading session in the red, extending the dismal trend from the previous week. The Sensex began the day with losses and rapidly fell more than 900 points, giving up the 55,000 mark.

The Nifty 50 index was down 1.65%, falling below 16,400 points. The Bank Nifty was down 2%. Market sentiment remained tainted by volatility, as the India VIX jumped 10% to reclaim 29 levels.

The only two Sensex stocks in the green were Power Grid and Tata Steel, while Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, and Dr Reddy’s were the worst performers, losing more than 2% each.
