Budget 2024 Date Announced: FM to present Budget 2024-25 on this date, Session will begin shortly; Read Details Here Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the much-anticipated Union Budget 2024 on July 23. Droupadi Murmu, the President approved a proposal on Saturday for the meeting of both houses of Parliament from July 22 to August 12. The Narendra Modi-led governance is going to release its first budget after being re-elected for a record third term earlier this year. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on his Twitter account shared this update. He wrote, "Hon’ble President of India, on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, 2024 from 22nd July 2024 to 12th August 2024 (Subject to exigencies of Parliamentary Business). Union Budget, 2024-25 will be presented in Lok Sabha on 23rd July 2024." The President has previously stated that the upcoming Budget would include multiple 'historic' initiatives and 'major social and economic decisions'. Sitharaman presented an interim budget in February, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
