CA and SDO from UHBVN Sub Division arrested for alleged bribe of Rs.1 Lakh A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau of Haryana has arrested a CA (Commercial Assistant) and SDO  of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam (UHBVN) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.1 lakh. According to bureau officials, the culprit has been identified as Satbir Singh, who is stationed at Bapoli, Panipat. As reported by ACB inspector Sumit Kumar, the bureau received a complaint from the owner of a private factory who said the accused was asking a bribe to settle a Rs.5.5 lakh overdue electricity bill. In response to his compliant, a team performed a raid and arrested the accused red-handed with the bribe money. The accused has been charged under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
