CA Exams | Plea for Postponement of CA Exams if COVID Protocol not Followed made before SC
A Plea has been filed in Supreme Court directing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India [ICAI] to provide “Opt-Out” option to all CA Aspirants. The Plea has also requested to provide an Extra chance to candidates appearing for CA Intermediate & CA Final under Old Course.
The plea has been filed by Child Right Activist Anubha Shrivastava Sahai. The Plea has also sought directions for increasing the number of Examination Centres for CA Exams. As per plea it should be ensured that at least one Examination Centre is kept in every District of India and not more than 50 students are allotted one Centre.
The Petitioner has sought for formulation & implementation of specific MHA guidelines for free medical treatment to students infected during the examination, conduct examinations in a staggered manner, and free vaccination for all the students, staff & invigilators.
Further, the petitioner has sought for Postponement of CA Exams if COVID Protocol not Followed.
Some other requests like the issue of E-Admit Cards, E-Passes for students in containment Zones and early announcement of result so that students can prepare for next attempt has also been made.
