CA Flags Major Issue on New UDIN Portal: PAN Showing NA

In an effort to enhance the features for the members, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had migrated the previous UDIN Portal to a new platform called ICAI DigiCA. This step aimed at providing an improved user-friendly interface with better usability in line with the decisions of the Council.

CA Himank Singla has flagged a major issue on the UDIN Portal. He claimed that the Old UDINs for audit reports show the assessee’s PAN as “NA”, even for the cases where the PAN was correctly entered during the filing. “All generated old UDINs are now showing PAN as NA!, ” he wrote in a post shared on Platform X.

This glitch will cause major disruptions as the CAs cannot track the old UDINs of their clients. Additionally, it will also create problems while updating UDINs on the Income Tax portal. Singla requested the President of ICAI, CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, to fix the issue soon.
