ICAI Releases User Manual of UDIN Portal: Download Now
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently released its latest User Manual for its UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) Portal, version 1.2, prepared by TCS and reviewed by the UDIN Secretariat. This detailed guide makes it easier for the Chartered Accountants to generate the UDIN for audits, certificates, and reports.
Earlier, the UDIN Directorate had announced the migration of the UDIN portal to the ICAI DigiCA Platform on December 20th, 2025. This step aimed at providing a better and user-friendly interface with enhanced features based on the decisions made by the ICAI Council.
The UDIN User manual provides a step-by-step guide on processes like UDIN generation, revocation of UDIN, how to verify UDIN, and listing UDIN. On the updated UDIN portal, the members can easily log in using their SSP credentials, removing the First-Time Registration process. On the dashboard of the portal after logging in, the members will see a clear chart of UDINs generated over the past five years.
The manual highlights the Bulk UDIN Generation, which will allow the CAs to generate multiple UDINs (up to 300 at once) at the same time. The manual explains the steps on how to generate the bulk UDIN. The manual is very important for the CAs, as it will help in reducing errors and ensuring compliance.
