ICAI Announces Migration of UDIN Portal to DigiCA Platform from December 20, 2025
The UDIN Directorate under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently shared an announcement on the "Migration of the UDIN Portal to the ICAI DigiCA Platform".
The Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) Directorate informed members that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is planning to shift the current UDIN Portal to the ICAI DigiCA Platform on December 20, 2025.
This change is being made to give users a better and easier-to-use system, with an improved design and new, enhanced features, as approved by the ICAI Council. However, to facilitate the migration, the existing UDIN Portal will remain unavailable for UDIN-related activities during the transition window for 24 hours. (With effect from Midnight of December 19).
The UDIN Directorate further suggested that members make all required UDINs before December 20, 2025. A user manual will also be made available on the new platform for the guidance of members.
However, apart from this, a separate UDIN Mobile app (for both IOS and Android users) will be launched on December 30, 2025. The main objective of launching this is to provide appropriate mobile access for members.
