Card Scam: Lawyer loses Rs. 8.8 Lakhs in Credit Card Scam A 29-year-old lawyer has filed a cheating complaint with the Nerul police station against a cyber fraudster who enticed him by proposing to boost his credit card limit to Rs. 10 lakh and scammed him out of Rs. 8.8 lakh. According to the FIR, the lawyer received a phone call from Rahul Agnihotri, who claimed to be the deputy manager of ICICI Bank's credit card department at the Borivali branch. He told the lawyer his credit card number and expiration date to convince him that he was calling from the bank. He gave repeated OTPs with the fraudster after being enticed by the lure of increasing his credit card limit and subsequently lost Rs. 8.8 lakh.
