CAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required to register for the CAT 2024 exam are as follows:

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD/DA category) from a recognised university.
• Candidates who are in their final year to grab their bachelor’s degree and right now awaiting their results are also eligible to appear in the CAT 2024 exam.
• Candidates who have professional degrees such as CA/CS/ICWA are eligible to appear for the CAT 2024 exam unless they meet the minimum percentage required for CAT 2024.
• There is no upper age limit set as the eligibility criteria as of now, the authority has permitted all working professionals to register for the CAT 2024 exam.
• While work experience is helpful for IIM admission, it is not required for CAT applications.

CAT 2024: How to Register

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the CAT 2024 exam by following the below-mentioned steps:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT i.e., iimcat.ac.in
• Step 2: At the homepage, click on the “new registration” tab.
• Step 3: This will open the login page on the screen, enter your name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email ID.
• Step 4: Fill in the complete captcha code visible on the screen and verify registration with the OTP received.
• Step 5: Log in using the CAT 2024 ID sent to the candidate via email and complete the form.
• Step 6: Now enter your personal and academic details.
• Step 7: Upload a recent passport-size photo and a scanned signature.
• Step 8: Select preferred IIMs, courses, and test cities.
• Step 9: Make the CAT 2024 fee payment using a credit/debit card or net banking.
  Step 10: At last submit the form.
