NEET PG 2024 Result: NBEMS Tie Breaking Policy, Check Orthopedic Cut-Offs of Top Medical Colleges
NEET PG 2024 Result: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is soon expected to release the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) Result officially at the website, natboard.edu.in. The test was held in two shifts, over 170 cities at 416 different locations. A total of 2,28,540 candidates registered for the NEET PG 2024 exam administered on August 11, 2024, 1,07,959 candidates were from shift one and 1,08,177 candidates were from shift two.
This year the NEET PG 2024 result will be released in the form of a Merit List, that will include details such as the candidate’s roll number, marks obtained, and rank achieved. The candidate who will successfully clear the NEET PG 202 exam will be called eligible to take admission into the 1,338 DNB CET, 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), and 922 PG Diploma programs. Candidates will be able to access their scorecard at the official website, natboard.edu.in by using the login credentials such as User ID and Password. In order to organise the NEET PG 2024 exam this year, NBEMS introduced multiple compulsory time-bound sections and shifts. Also, this year NBEMS has adopted a normalisation method for the NEET PG 2024 Result preparations. In the exam, candidates were required to attempt 200 MCQ-type questions with an overall weightage of 800 marks. If in case after the result declaration, two or more candidates achieve the same scores it that case, NBEMS will use the following tie-breaking policy to declare their merits:
NBEMS stated officially, “A candidate securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS professional exams will be placed at a better merit position. In case of Indian Citizens/ OCI who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from outside India, their FMG Examination marks (in percentage) shall be considered in lieu of aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examination”.
