CBDT issued Refund Amounting Rs 1.37 Lakh Crore to Taxpayers From April 1 to December 13, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) provided refunds to approximately 1.27 crore taxpayers, according to the Income Tax Department. "From April 1, 2021, to December 13, 2021, the CBDT issued refunds of Rs 1,36,779 crore to nearly 1.27 lakh taxpayers. 1,25,34,644 cases received income tax refunds totaling Rs 46,438 crore, while 2,02,705 cases received corporation tax refunds totaling Rs 90,340 crore "The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released a tweet. This includes 90.95 lakh refunds of Rs 18,848.60 crore for Assessment Year (AY) 2021-22.
