CBI arrested 2 accused including Railway Training Institute Principal in Bribery Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused including the Principal (IRTS) of Zonal Railway Training Institute, Central Railway, Bhusawal in a bribery case and conducted searches.

The CBI filed a case against Principal (IRTS), Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI), Central Railway, Bhusawal, based on a complaint citing the accused’s demand for undue advantage. It was claimed that the plaintiff acquired a contract from GeM to provide vehicles to Railway from May 18, 2023, to May 17, 2025.

One of the vehicles under the contract was allegedly used by Principal, ZRTI, Bhusawal. It was also alleged that the Principal, ZRTI, Bhusawal used to demand undue benefits for approving monthly vehicle bills, which the complainant reportedly did not pay. As a result, the accused failed to sign the logbook before the deadline.

The CBI set up a trap, and during the trap process, the accused asked the complainant to pass over a bribe of Rs 9000 to his worker, who worked as an Office Superintendent at ZTRI, Bhusawal. The Said Office Superintendent took the money and passed it up to the accused Principal, ZTRI. Both were apprehended and eventually arrested.

Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused persons. Further investigation is continuing.
