CBI arrested a Field Officer of Bank in a Bribery Case The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Field Officer of Prathama UP Gramin Bank, Poora Birdha Branch (Lalitpur) for accepting a bribe of Rs. 7000 from the complainant. A case was filed against the accused based on allegations that he demanded excessive advantage of Rs.18,000 in exchange for allowing the complainant to withdraw Rs.1,50,000 from his loan account. It was further reported that after negotiations, the accused dropped his demand for a bribe. CBI laid the trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 7,000 from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused in Lalitpur (U.P.). The accused will be produced before the Competent Court. Investigation is continuing.
