CBI arrested Delhi Police Head Constable and Two Officials of MCD in Bribery Cases
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained a Head Constable of Traffic Police, Central Range, Delhi, for demanding and receiving a bribe of Rs.4,000 from the complainant.
In response to a complaint, a case was filed against the Head Constable of Traffic Police, Central Range, Delhi. The Complainant allegedly hired five vans to lift construction garbage/ malba. It was further said that the accused stopped Complainant's automobiles and sought an illegal gratification of Rs.5,000 per month in exchange for allowing the vehicles to continue running. During the agreement, the accused agreed to receive an initial bribe of Rs.4,000 per month from the complainant.
The CBI constructed a trap, and the accused was captured while seeking and taking a bribe of Rs.4,000 from the complainant. Searches were undertaken at the accused's premises.
In another case, the CBI nabbed an LDC (Record Keeper) and a Safai Karmachari working in the Sahadra Zone of the MCD, Delhi, for taking a bribe of Rs.4,000 from the complainant.
A case was filed against an LDC (Record Keeper) and a Safai Karmachari who worked in the Office of the Dy. Chief Accountant (Pension Cell), DC office, MCD, Sahadra Zone, Delhi. The Complainant allegedly sought the accused on compassionate grounds to clear the file of an appointment. It was further said that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.4,000 to clear the abovementioned file.
The CBI set a trap, and both defendants were captured after accepting a bribe of Rs.4,000 from the complainant. Searches are being conducted at the accused's premises.
The investigation in both situations is ongoing.
